"Hell House is cutting edge, shocking, and offensive...

You'll wet your pants and beg for salvation"

Return To Alleyway Theatre

"The most in-your-face, high-flyin', no denyin', death-defyin', Satan-be-cryin',

keep-ya-from-fryin', theatrical stylin', no holds barred,

cutting-edge evangelism tool of the New Millennium!"

HELL HOUSE BUFFALO is a faithful recreation of the hottest tool in Fundamentalist Christian recruitment. Rev. Jerry Fallwell developed the first HELL HOUSE script in the mid 1970's and, claiming a 25-30% conversion/salvation rate, the tool has been used in over 3,000 churches. Recently, however, the HELL HOUSE concept has also evolved into an intriguing theatre event and has been staged by professional theatres on both coasts.

Visitors to HELL HOUSE BUFFALO will be escorted through a series of graphic scenes that illustrate the agonizing, soul torturing results of such sinful behavior as gay marriage, abortion, premarital sex and dancing at raves!

"We Just Show Up And God Does The Rest!" - director/designer Todd Warfield

HELL HOUSE BUFFALO confronts our most profound social problems including school violence, gay marriage, AIDS, rape, premarital sex and abortion.  Interpretation of the validity of its message is left to the viewer.  The Buffalo production will combine state of the art multimedia, theatrical spectacle and live actors to make the experience as vivid as possible. The ensemble of artists will feature a rotating cast of "Guest Satans" including local celebrities.
