Sheila McCarthy

Sheila has worked with many theatres in the Buffalo area such as the Buffalo Studio Arena, D’Youville Kavinoky Theatre, Irish Classical Theater Company, Musicalfare, Artpark, O’Connell and Company, The New Phoenix Theatre, Jewish Repertory Theatre, Buffalo United Artists, Alleyway Theatre and others as an actor, singer, and director. She is a multiple Artie Award Nominee and Winner of all four awards for acting in both musical and non-musical categories. Her regional and summer theater credits include multiple seasons at the Pennsylvania Festival Theater, Utah Shakespearean Festival and Hartford Stage. She spent many years as an Assistant Professor of Theater at Buffalo State and Erie Community Colleges and a Teaching Artist for The Arts in Education Institute of WNY. She holds a BFA in Theatre from Daemen University and an MFA in Theatre from Penn State and has been a member of Actors Equity Association since 1976. Sheila would like to dedicate her performance to her darling Jonathan whom she knows is looking down from Heaven with love and pride.
